First and foremost a drummer for over 20 years, Blake started out in playing in local rock and metal bands before deciding to learn pop production on his own. While in college for criminology, and later law school for entertainment law, Blake spent thousands of hours both studying and analyzing every aspect of music that he could get his hands on. Eventually, all of that turned into his producer reacts series for which he has become well known. Blake now is the frontman of his own band Birds of Paradise, and still pushes forward towards his goal of making the music industry a thriving place for both artists and listeners.
“All of us have the ability to understand and connect with music on a deeper level. We’re all experts who have listened to thousands of hours of music over the course of our lifetimes. I love teaching people how to tap into that”
-Blake McLain
